Sougia

Σούγια
The quiet south coast village at the end of the gorge

Sougia is a small village on the south coast, reached by a mountain road from Chania (1.5 hours) or by ferry from Paleochora and Hora Sfakion. The village has a long pebble beach, a few tavernas, and stays genuinely quiet. The ancient site of Lissos is one hour west on the coastal path.
